MTNA Schematic Flow Diagram

[ MTNA Schematic Flow Diagram ]

The MTNA system is designed for medium to high NOx loads, where conventional SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system prove to be costly in terms of capital and operating costs. The MTNA system utilizes a high efficiency oxidation tower to convert NO (nitrous oxide) to NO2 (Nitric Oxide). The oxidation tower has an integrated heat heat exchanger to remove heat of oxidation to maintain optimum conditions. The NO2 from the oxidation chamber is then absorbed in a three stage packed tower in water / dilute solution of Nitric Acid. The packed towers are designed for 80%-85%.  NO in form of Nitric Acid. The peculiarity of NO reaction with water limits the maximum conversion to Nitric acid. A final alkali scrubbing is carried out in a third packed column to absorb the balance NO/NO2.

THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MTNA SYSTEMS ARE : -
This unique can be adopted to recover Nitric acid and Sodium salt of Nitrites & Nitrites.
High Turn down ratio.
The MTNA system is designed to give very low effluent.
